At Central Scotland trailer servicing a service is an inspection and light maintance of your trailer in which we will produce a report detailing any further work that may need to be carried out to keep your trailer safe.
Some of the work we will carry out during a service is:
- Coupling: Ensure that coupler,hitches and damper are in good condition and functioning properly. Inspection and Grease
- Jockey Wheel: Wheels and shafts can get damaged.Inspection and Grease
- Parking Break: Can get damaged or seised.Inspection and oil moving parts
- Break away cable / Secondry coupling:Can become damaged or corroded. Inspection
- Lights: Brake lights, turn signals, and reflectors can burn out or get damaged, affecting visibility and safety.Inspection
- Electrical System: Check wiring, connectors, and fuses for wear or corrosion that could lead to electrical failures.Inspection
- Tires: Check for tread wear, proper inflation, and sidewall damage.Inspection
- Brakes: Brake pads, shoes, and discs can wear down over time,Strip, inspection, clean,grease and ajust
- Wheel Bearings: These can wear out or become damaged, leading to poor performance and potential failures.Inspection and Grease
- Suspension Components: Springs, shocks, and bushings may wear out, impacting the trailer’s stability and handling.Inspection
- Frame and Chassis: Rust, cracks, or damage could compromise the trailer’s structural integrity.Inspection
- Flooring: Damage or deterioration, especially in enclosed trailers.Inspection
- Seals and Gaskets: Leaks or moisture intrusion. Inspection
No parts are replaced during a service, we will check all components, clean and greese where required
During the service if we come accross something that we belive makes the trailer unsafe to be on the road we may stop and contact you about rectifing the issue before completeing the service
